ZAGREB, Feb 8 (Hina) - A European Union project aimed at strengtheningCroatia's Environmental Protection Agency was presented in Zagreb onTuesday to representatives of ministries, government bodies andagencies, as well as various
institutions, associations and companiesin charge of environmental protection.
ZAGREB, Feb 8 (Hina) - A European Union project aimed at
strengthening Croatia's Environmental Protection Agency was presented in Zagreb
on Tuesday to representatives of ministries, government bodies and agencies,
as well as various institutions, associations and companies in charge of
environmental protection.The project is financed with 600,000 euros from the CARDS 2002
programme.
The EU decided to help the agency after recognising its importance in
managing a national environmental protection system. The project was launched
last October and will be carried out over the next 18 months.
The project is aimed at providing politicians and the public with timely
information about environmental protection.
