ZAGREB, Dec 17 (Hina) - Most workers in Croatia are dissatisfied with their job and plan to stay with their current employer for less than a year, according to a survey conducted by the web portal Moj Posao this month.

Only eight percent of employees intend to stay with their current employer for more than ten years, while 55% intend to stay for less than a year.

Thirty percent of workers plan to stay with their current employer for a period of between one and five years. Although most of them are satisfied with their work conditions, salary and possibility of professional development, they believe that in the next five years they will receive and accept a better job offer.

Seven percent of the respondents intend to keep their present job in the next five to ten years. They are mostly satisfied with their job, employer and salary, but they believe that changing the employer is a normal step in career development.

The respondents who intend to change their job in less than a year's time

cited as the main reason poor work conditions and the lack of promotion and professional development prospects.

Many also cited dissatisfaction with their salary and the employer's incompetence or poor treatment of employees.

There was also a high number of respondents who complained about bad human relations and the failure of their co-workers to accept them.
