Biscevic and Kyrle discussed bilateral relations and agreed on ways to strengthen cooperation on the bilateral and multilateral fronts, as well as in international organisations.
The two officials described bilateral relations as very good.
They exchanged views on the situation in Southeast Europe and efforts by the EU and the international community to ensure lasting stability and security in Southeast Europe, particularly considering the issue of Kosovo.
Biscevic underlined Croatia's role considering its current presidency of the South-East European Cooperation Process, and informed the Austrian official about relations with neighbouring countries and the consistent implementation of the programme of return of refugees to Croatia and cooperation with neighbouring countries in that process.
Kyrle also met briefly with Foreign Minister Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic.
He also met the State Secretary for European Integration, Marija Pejcinovic Buric, who informed him about the state of Croatia's EU accession talks, the course of screening of the level of adjustment of Croatia's legislation to that of the EU, and the fulfilment of EU membership criteria.
Kyrle said that his country would continue supporting Croatia's full membership in the EU and relaying its experience in the process of preparation for EU membership.
Later in the day, parliamentarians Gordan Jandrokovic and Neven Mimica met with the Austrian official for talks on Croatia's efforts to join the EU.
