Kramaric told the press that post-election coalitions were possible, depending on whether possible partners would accept the HSLS' economic platform, which he said would be the party's ace card. He added that the HSLS' previous experience with coalitions had not been great.
Kramaric underlined that the HSLS was not in a classic coalition with the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) because it did not have a minister, but said the HSLS supported the government because "it gave us the chance, as the biggest losers in the previous elections, to buy time to consolidate".
"Our coalition is not unconditional because we have retained the right to vote on liberal topics by our principles," said Kramaric, announcing the party would form coalitions based on the similarity of platforms.
