The event will be opened in the UNESCO headquarters in Paris by UNESCO Secretary-General Koichiro Matsuura, Croatian Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic and Croatia's Ambassador to France, Bozidar Gagro. The exhibition, held under the auspices of Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, will be open until September 22, it was said at a news conference in Zagreb on Tuesday.

He recalled that UNESCO included this celebration in its calendar of anniversaries related to important world scientists at the time when it was celebrating its 60th anniversary.
The Paris exhibition is organised by the Croatian Culture Ministry, the Croatian Commission for UNESCO and Croatia's Permanent Mission at UNESCO.
The day after the exhibition opens, the seminar "Tesla in Croatia" will be held in the UNESCO headquarters, to be attended by some 120 participants, including representatives from Croatia.
