ZAGREB, Aug 11 (Hina) - The Croatian television network Nova TV on
Friday evening aired a part of video footage from 1991 showing Atif Dudakovic
ordering an attack on the Croatian municipality Lovinac in his capacity as
officer of the former Yugoslav People's Army (JNA). The broadcast
was accompanied by an explanation that it was a ten minute video recording
aired by Television Belgrade in September 1991, when the JNA fiercely shelled
Lovinac municipality and its settlement Ricice in the central Lika County.
In 1992 the Prosecutor's Office in Gospic issued an indictment against
seven persons, who were later sentenced in absence to 20 years imprisonment
each for war crimes in the area of Lovinac.
