ZAGREB, July 28 (Hina) - Munib Suljic, one of the convicts in the Pakracka Poljana war crimes case, cut himself with a razor in a prison hospital in Zagreb on Sunday, but the Prison System Administration has said the injuries were light and that Suljic did not attempt suicide.

Suljic slashed himself twice on his left lower arm while showering, making two shallow cuts, the head of security at the Administration, Miroslav Mihoci, told Hina on Friday. He said the prisoner did not explain why he self-harmed, but added it was not a suicide attempt because in those cases the injuries are much deeper.

Suljic was extradited to Croatia by the Dutch authorities in late June. In September 2005, Zagreb's County Court sentenced him to 10 years in prison for the 1991 murder of a man in the village of Pakracka Poljana1. The Supreme Court subsequently raised the sentence by another two years.
