BRUSSELS, July 19 (Hina) - European Union president Finland has notified the Croatian government in a letter that benchmarks have been introduced for policy chapters on social policy and employment and on justice, freedom and
security, diplomatic sources in Brussels said on Wednesday. Croatia on Wednesday completed a bilateral screening for the European Union policy chapter on company law. European Commission officials on Wednesday notified Croatian and Turkish representatives of the acquis communautaire regarding the freedom of the movement of workers during the explanatory stage of the screening. Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader said on Wednesday he was very pleased with his two-day visit to London, describing it as very effective and confirming the new British relationship towards Croatia, which he said had improved dramatically since Croatia achieved full cooperation with the Hague war crimes tribunal.
