PULA, July 3 (Hina) - The Democratic Centre (DC) leader, Vesna
Skare Ozbolt, on Monday hailed the recent establishment of the Adriatic
Euroregion, adding that this initiative which had been launched in Istria
County should encourage other Croatian counties to embark on similar
projects. Skare Ozbolt told the press in the northern coastal city
of Pula that the establishment of the said region was yet another proof of the
need for Croatia to organise new regions according to economic criteria.
The DC chief said that her party was in favour of organising new
regions on the economic grounds and that this move could help Croatia to draw
more funds from pre-accession programmes of the European Union.
