The thirty nine workers who were employed in jobs about of the reconstruction and maintenance of a cement factory in the northern Lebanese town of Chekka, were evacuated with the help of the German Embassy in Beirut, after the situation in the Middle East worsened.
The evacuated Croatian nationals are currently situated in a hotel in Damascus and are due to depart for the Croatian capital later in the afternoon.
According to the CNN, the evacuation of Western nationals from Lebanon picked up speed on Tuesday while the conflict between the Hizbollah on the south of Lebanon and the Israeli forces was escalating.
