Croatia's legal framework regulating health care is relatively well-developed but it is necessary to work on some implementation provisions, said Krunoslav Capak, a member of the team negotiating the policy chapter on health care.
Vesna Tomljenovic, the head of the task force for the consumer protection policy chapter, said Croatian laws in this field were adjusted to the European acquis communautaire in many aspects.
Croatia will adopt a new, amended law on consumer protection by the end of 2007.
Croatia will not request a transition period for either of those two policy chapters, which means they will be adjusted by the time of accession to the EU.
