Resumption of political activity, including running in elections, has been allowed to a former Croat-Muslim Federation prime minister, Edhem Bicakcic, and five lesser known Muslims and one Serb.
The revocation of the ban does not mean that those persons may step back into the offices they held before being banned from political activity.
The international community's High Representative, Christian Schwarz-Schilling, said it was up to political parties to decide if and how they would engage those politicians.
Back in March, Schwarz-Schilling announced he would re-examine his predecessors' decisions to dismiss elected officials because it was an issue that had to be settled before the OHR closed its doors.
