Ukraine is interested in cooperation in highway construction, Ukrainian Deputy Economy Minister Andrija Berezny said.
During the two-day session, representatives of the the two countries focused on ten sector in which Croatia and Ukraine wanted to intensify cooperation.
Apart from a protocol from the fourth session, also signed today were an agreement for the standardisation sector, an agreement for the metrology sector and a memorandum between the Croatian Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Ministry and the Ukrainian Agriculture Ministry. The three documents are expected to contribute to the further strengthening of cooperation.
According to Croatian Economy Ministry, the two countries' trade last year amounted to 97.5 million US dollars, which is 21.3 percent more than in 2004. Croatia's exports increased by 36 percent, reaching 17.6 million while imports from Ukraine rose by 18.4 percent to 79.9 million dollars.
