ZAGREB, June 19 (Hina) - Commenting on the latest events regarding
the definition of the Croatian-Slovene border, Croatian President Stjepan
Mesic has said that former Yugoslav republics had their own borders that were
internationally confirmed by the Badinter commission after the break-up of the
former federation. "If the state border is not determined down to
the last meter, let us determine it," Mesic said at the launch of a book in
Zagreb on Monday evening.
"There is no reason (to approach) an international body," Mesic said,
adding that international arbitration was still possible if the two countries
failed to find a solution bilaterally.
