ZAGREB, May 25 (Hina) - U.S. President George W. Bush on Thursday sent a letter to Croatian President Stjepan Mesic in reply to a letter by which the Croatian president informed him of the upcoming celebration of the 150th anniversary
of the birth of Nikola Tesla. The U.S. president wholeheartedly supported the celebration of the year of Nikola Tesla, President Mesic's office said in a statement.

sent a letter to Croatian President Stjepan Mesic in reply to a letter by which
the Croatian president informed him of the upcoming celebration of the 150th
anniversary of the birth of Nikola Tesla. The U.S. president wholeheartedly
supported the celebration of the year of Nikola Tesla, President Mesic's office
said in a statement. Bush went on to say that he would not be able
to participate in the celebrations, but that the United States was proud of the
brilliant inventor whose work should be an inspiration to the present
generation of scientists and researchers throughout the world.
Paying tribute to the lasting spirit of reconciliation symbolised by
the celebration of Tesla's birth, Bush underlined that Tesla was proof that
real greatness surpassed national borders and differences.
