The protesters, who rallied on the occasion of International Labour Day, were disgruntled with the high prices of food, electricity and medical treatment, and with growing unemployment, bribery and corruption. They underlined that the incumbent authorities did not have a strategy to advance the national economy.
The rally was organised by the People's Party for Wellbeing through Work, whose founders are the Lijanovic brothers -- owners of a meat-processing company from Siroki Brijeg, the Bosnian Farmers Association, the Independent Trade Union of Workers in the Agriculture, Food and Tobacco Industries, and the Bosnian Pensioners Association.
