Cheney will travel to Croatia to meet the country's leaders, President Stjepan Mesic and Prime Minister Ivo Sanader, as well as to hold multilateral talks with top officials of Croatia, Albania and Macedonia, aspirants for NATO membership covered by the said charter.
The multilateral talks are scheduled to take place in the Croatian coastal resort of Dubrovnik.
Before arriving in Croatia, Cheney will attend a summit meeting of leaders of countries from the Baltic and Black Sea regions, scheduled for 4 May in the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius, and tour Kazakhstan.
