Sanader told reporters that the purpose of his visit to Poland was to inquire about the attitude of Poland's incumbent Conservative government towards Croatia's ambitions to join the EU. Poland's government was elected last autumn.
Sanader discussed this topic with his Polish counterpart Kazimiercz Marcinkiewicz and President Lech Kaczynski. He also met the speakers of both parliament houses, Marek Jurek and Bogdan Borusewicz.
All the officials said that Poland would continue supporting Croatia's efforts to join the EU and NATO as soon as possible, Sanader said.
A meeting of the Croatian-Polish Business Forum is scheduled to take place on Thursday.
