KNIN, April 13 (Hina) - The Coordinating Body of the Sibenik-Knin
County Serb National Minority Council, consisting of Serb National Minority
Councils from Knin, Kistanje, Biskupija, Cviljane, and Ervenik, was founded in
the southern Croatian town of Knin on Thursday. Dragan Jerkovic of
Knin was elected president and his deputy is Dmitar Gojko of Biskupija.
The body was set up to adjust and promote common interests and to
transfer a part of the authority in line with Article 31 of the Constitutional
Law on the Rights of National Minorities, said a statement issues after the
founding session.
The founding of the Coordinating Body was supported by Knin Mayor
Josipa Rimac and representatives of the local authorities.
Present at the founding session were representatives of the OSCE
Mission in Croatia, Valeriu Florean and Momir Vukmirovic.
