He was speaking after separate meetings with Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Lutfi Haziri and the leader of the Reformist Party Ora, Veton Surroi.
Berisha said keeping the existing borders in the Balkans represented a guarantee for peace and the stability of the entire region, Albanian media reported.
Berisha called on the citizens of Kosovo to take the issue of respect for the freedoms and human rights of minorities as their civic duty so that they could realise the aspirations of the Albanian people in Kosovo.
He also invited the newly elected Kosovo Prime Minister Agim Qeku to visit Tirana.
