activities while being temporarily releasedpending trial.

Appeals Chamber on Friday confirmed a decision allowing former Kosovo Prime
Minister and local military commander, Ramush Haradinaj, to engage in public
political activities while being temporarily released pending trial.
"The Accused may appear in public and engage in public political activities to
the extent UNMIK finds would be important for a positive development of the
political and security situation in Kosovo, subject to the prior approval by
UNMIK of a request by the Accused regarding each individual activity
concerned," the International Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) said in
a press release published on its web site.
Haradinaj is charged with crimes against humanity perpetrated against
Serb villagers in Djukadjina in 1998.
UNMIK is the UN Mission in Kosovo
