During the agreement-signing ceremony in Zagreb, Karamarko said that the Slovakian and Croatian police forces had been cooperating excellently for many years and the agreement was only the "verification of those excellent relations".
One form of cooperation is the assistance of Slovakian police officers on the Croatian coast during the tourist season, he said.
The Croatian and Slovakian ministers also discussed experiences in the struggle against corruption and discussed Croatia's European Union membership bid.
Slovakia wants Croatia to enter the EU as soon as it meets the criteria, Slovakian Minister Lipsic said, adding that it was unfair to give Croatia additional criteria which had not been imposed on previous EU candidates.
It is a priority for the EU to counter organised crime and corruption and Slovakia appreciates what Croatia has done in this sense, he added.
