equaly for business and personal needs,while nine per cent do not use the Internet at work at all, a surveyshowed this week.
ZAGREB, Feb 26(Hina) - Fifty-seven per cent of Croatian workers
use the Internet in the workplace mostly for business purposes, although they
set aside some time also for personal needs, 13 per cent use it only for
business, 11 per cent equaly for business and personal needs, while nine per
cent do not use the Internet at work at all, a survey showed this week. The survey was conducted by the www.posao.hr Internet portal this month and
covered 874 employed persons in the capital of Zagreb and in Zagreb,
Split-Dalmatia, Primorje-Gorski Kotar, and Osijek-Baranja counties.
Over 60 per cent of those questioned spend five hours at work browsing
the Internet for personal purposes, one-fourth spend more than 10 hours while
five per cent spend more than 20 hours a week doing so.
The employeed surveyed said they use the Internet mostly for e-mailing,
to browse websites looking for a jobs or ways to advance their careers, read
the news, and for on-line banking.
