The district attorney in Pristina already received the charges which the families pressed against Baraybar, claiming that he abused the office for his private objectives and for the purpose of scientific research.
The injured parties claim that Baraybar took parts from bones of 400 victims for the purpose of his scientific work without consent given by next-of-kin.
The UN Mission in Kosovo has most resolutely refuted accusations adding that they are absolutely groundless.
The spokesman for the UNMIK, Neerej Singh, said that samples of bones had been taken only for the purpose of establishing the identity of victims.
Since then, samples of remains of the victims have been kept in the building of UNMIK forensics department, he added.
An international prosecutor in Pristina will decide on whether there are any grounds for initiating procedure against the UN forensic expert and whether the UN Secretary General should be asked to strip Baraybar of immunity which he enjoys as a senior UN official in Kosovo.
