A majority in the Sabor on Friday adopted the report that Tomcic had not been in conflict of interest while he had been the Sabor Speaker and that Cacic had been in conflict of interest while he had been Construction Minister.
The Sabor also accepted Tomcic's request that his term as an MP be frozen. Earlier, Tomcic, a former leader of the Croatian Peasant Party (HSS), announced that he could no longer perform the duty of MP for private reasons. Miroslav Cacija of the HSS will be the party's new deputy in the Sabor.
Ana Lovrin of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), until now an MP, will be replaced by Rade Ivas of the HDZ after she was appointed the new Justice Minister this morning.
The Sabor adopted a report on the readiness of the Croatian Armed Forces as well as various other reports.
