The concert will be held in the Drazen Petrovic Dome in Zagreb, as part of the band's European tour promoting their last album called Black and White 050505.
The band performed in Croatia for the first time on 4 August 2002, when they took part in the Rock On Rock Open Air Festival on the biggest Croatian island of Krk. Their second concert was held in Zagreb on 1 July, the following year.
Best known for their 1985 number one hit "Don't you (Forget About Me)" from the film the Breakfast Club, Simple Minds evolved from a post-punk art rock band influenced by Roxy Music into a grand, epic-sounding pop group along the lines of U2.
The band released their new album Black and White 050505 in mid September 2005. Jim Kerr, Charlie Burchill, Andy Gillespie, Mark Taylor, Eddy Duffy and Mel Gaynor gathered several days ago for their European tour which starts in Dublin on 30 and 31 January.
