"In the preliminary investigation we did not find grounds to prosecute General Miroslav Stojanovski... and it was not possible to link General Stojanovski to the accusations made by the Inmates Society and media allegations," county prosecutor Bozidar Piljic told Hina.
Piljic's office launched a preliminary investigation against Stojanovski on 25 November 2005 following a series of press articles about his participation in the 1991 Serb aggression on the eastern town and accusations by the society of former concentration camp inmates.
The president of the society, Danijel Rehak, told Hina former inmates would press criminal charges next week against Stojanovski and others seen at his side during the Serb aggression on Vukovar.
