BELGRADE, Jan 26 (Hina) - The National Council of Serbia and
Montenegro in charge of cooperation with the Hague war crimes tribunal accepted
on Thursday a proposal by the tribunal's prosecution to open state archives to
the tribunal's investigators. The Council said in a statement that
this removes any doubt as to whether state bodies are hiding some documents and
confirms that Serbia and Montenegro is ready to fulfil its obligations towards
the tribunal.
The chairman of the Council, Human and Minority Rights Minister Rasim
Ljajic told the Belgrade-based Radio B92 that the tribunal would also be
provided with some documents referring to fugitive general Ratko Mladic.
