BELGRADE, Jan 23 (Hina) - The commander of the European Union
peace keepers (EUFOR) in Bosnia, Gianmarco Chiarini, and the foreign minister
of Serbia and Montenegro, Vuk Draskovic, on Monday signed an agreement on
technical cooperation, thus enabling the transit of EUFOR members through
Serbia and Montenegro on their way to Kosovo. After the signing,
Italian general Chiarini said the agreement was the confirmation of Serbia and
Montenegro's attempts to promote reforms and draw closer to Euro-Atlantic
associations.
Minister Draskovic said his country could not join NATO's Partnership
for Peace programme, NATO and the EU until it met its obligations towards the
International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
