All bodies of the executive authority are aware of the responsibility ahead of them, namely that through the defence of Ante Gotovina, Mladen Markac, Ivan Cermak and tohers, they are in fact defending the foundations of the Croatian state, the parliament speaker told a reporter when asked if the Croatian parliament, the government and the head of state shared the standpoint when it came to assisting ICTY indictees.
