Presenting the inner cabinet's conclusions about the flooding which caused huge damage in residential areas around Zagreb on Sunday and Monday, Kosor told the government today that a task force had been set up to analyse the work of all relevant services and agencies in the period from 17 to 22 September.
The task force is also expected to propose measures to improve the flood-protection system, including repair works on a 22-kilometre long embankment on the Sava river.
The National Protection and Rescue Directorate (DUZS) has been ordered to take all necessary measures ahead of a new flood wave which is expected this weekend.
The Sava River broke the embankments in three places, said Water Management Minister Bozidar Pankretic.
