Activities during Operation "Medak Pocket" were insignificant in relation to attack standards, Turkalj said.
The special police artillery unit, subordinated to the Croatian Army, had two fire positions with four 120-mm mortars, while one position had two multiple rocket launchers.
The targets of the attack were uninhabited areas in the woods where there were no civilians, Turkalj said.
The two generals are charged with war crimes in the 1993 Operation "Medak Pocket", including the excessive and nonselective shelling of Serb villages. The indictment also alleges that civilians were killed in these attacks.
In the first trial which the UN war crimes tribunal referred to the Croatian judiciary, Ademi and Norac are charged on command responsibility.
The trial will continue on Wednesday with the testimonies of war-time military police commander Mate Lausic and a former head of the Security and Intelligence Service (SIS), Ante Gugic.
