This is the first time Croatia has been evaluated as the only non-EU country.
The survey shows that the two tested rest areas are in accordance with EU standards and are even better than rest areas in Italy, said Darko Brozovic, deputy head of the Euro Test project in Croatia.
Both rest areas were graded "good", which corresponds with the Croatian grade "very good".
Some of the criteria taken into account in the evaluation of rest areas are the quality of parking places, playgrounds, walking areas, the quality of restaurant services, sanitary facilities, Internet access, accessibility for persons with special needs, prices, etc.
