On arriving in Meise near Brussels for a meeting of the European People's Party (EPP) leaders on Wednesday evening, Kosor said she had been encouraged by her recent talks with EU Justice Commissioner Viviane Reding over prospects for the closing of the policy chapter on Judiciary and Fundamental Rights.
"We talked about everything that lies ahead of us. I presented a plan for wrapping up that job and I think that she was satisfied," Kosor told reporters referring to her talks with Reding in Zagreb last Friday.
In response to questions about the restructuring of state-run shipyards, Kosor said that the process of privatisation was going on "at a good pace" and that "there are serious bidders for the biggest shipyards".
Kosor said that the presidency of the EPP would most probably hold a meeting in Zagreb in November, which the Croatian PM interpreted as "a sign of support" to her country.
The leaders of the EPP group, which includes 73 centre-right parties from 39 countries, traditionally meet ahead of each EU summit.
