VUKOVAR, June 28 (Hina) - A pilot project of the United Nations
Development Programme (UNDP) called "Community Safety" was presented in the
eastern Croatian town of Vukovar on Thursday. The project,
implemented by the Croatian Interior Ministry and the authorities of the cities
of Vukovar, Varazdin, Bjelovar and Cakovec, is aimed at improving safety and
reducing a crime rate in local communities.
The UNDP is financing the project with 50,000 US dollars in each city.
The implementation of the project is limited to a period of 12 months.
