COREPER, the committee comprised of EU countries' ambassadors, today adopted joint positions on six chapters, which means that negotiations will be opened on June 26 on the following chapters: Right of Establishment and Freedom to Provide Services, Company Law, Financial Services, Information Society and Media, Statistics, and Financial Control.
Next week, Croatia will have a total of 12 chapters open, of which two have been temporarily closed.
Diplomats do not rule out the possibility of convening the Intergovernmental Conference in late July, when Portugal will chair the EU, when up to two chapters could be opened.
