Mesic and Schwarzenberg stressed that the two countries had very good relations without outstanding issues, but that economic cooperation must be intensified.
Mesic underlined that the Czech minority was very well integrated with Croatia and that members of minorities were a bridge of cooperation between the two countries, the statement said.
Schwarzenberg said his country fully supported Croatia's accelerated accession into the EU and NATO.
The two officials also tackled the current sate of affairs in the region, notably the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kosovo issue, the statement said.
