The two ministers said they were pleased with the stable and friendly relations between Croatia and Bulgaria, but that efforts should be made to further promote trade and investment as well as other aspects of economic cooperation, the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration said in a statement.
The talks also focused on topical issues relating to regional stability and initiatives promoting cooperation among the countries of Southeast Europe.
Kalfin congratulated Croatia on the successful presidency of the SEECP and presented priorities of the Bulgarian presidency during the next term.
Grabar-Kitarovic informed her colleague about the progress of Croatia's membership talks with the European union, and Kalfin said that Bulgaria would continue to support Croatia in its efforts to join the EU and NATO.
