The majority adopted conclusions by the Credentials and Privileges Commission and the Constitution and Standing Orders Committee, which concluded two days ago that there was no need to decide again on consenting to Glavas's detention because the decision the Commission made with regard to the matter on 23 October 2006 is still valid.
Parliament yesterday discussed reports submitted by the Commission and the Committee.
Four deputies of the Party of Rights voted against both reports. Three Peasant Party deputies and independent MP Ivo Loncar abstained on the Credentials and Privileges Commission's report.
Earlier today, two physicians examined Glavas in prison in the eastern city of Osijek, where he has been in custody since April 17, due to health problems and chest pains, Osijek County Court spokesman Miroslav Rozac said.
Dr. Aleksandar Vcev said after the examination it had been agreed to give Glavas a heart rate monitor, carry out certain laboratory tests, and prescribe appropriate medication.
