ZAGREB, April 18 (Hina) - Croatian parliamentary parties on
Wednesday supported proposed amendments to the Science and Higher Education Act
as part of efforts to bring domestic legislation into accord with that of the
European Union. The amendments provide for equal requirements for EU
citizens enrolling in Croatian universities (once Croatia becomes a full EU
member) and regulate government grants in the higher education sector.
Under the amended law, military and police education will also be
included in the higher education system.
