ZAGREB, April 16 (Hina) - The project of a new, united Europe cannot be historically completed without the perspective of the inclusion of all southeastern European countries, said Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader at an SEECP conference in Zagreb on Monday.

Addressing participants in the sixth conference of SEECP Speakers of Parliaments, PM Sanader said the EU had embarked on far-reaching visions and that in the last 15 years southeastern Europe was excluded from that war-free landscape.

Therefore it is now time for us to join that part of Europe. Thanks to a far-reaching vision of mutual respect, dialogue and tolerance, Europe shed that hard heritage of conflicts and wars a half century ago, but many our countries have passed through that heritage over recent years, he said.

There is no more reasons for the European south-east not to open itself towards those same principles of reciprocity, cooperation, dialogue and solidarity that are the pillars for regional cooperation throughout Europe, the Croatian premier said.

Sanader said that currently the SEECP (South-East European Cooperation Process) was undergoing transformation.

According to him, SEECP is entering a final stage of the important comprehensive and unique shaping of new bases of cooperation in this part of Europe The shaping is nearing its completion until 11 May when Zagreb is to host the SEECP summit of heads of state and governments.

The SEECP is to become an original and authentic voice of southeastern Europe but the SEECP is no substitution for the individual full membership in the European Union with respect to individually assessed progress of each of our countries, Sanader added.
