The seminar will focus on main challenges that countries dealing with illegal migrations are faced with and on the effect irregual migration has on the security.
Over the next two days, attendees will talk about people trafficking, security of documents, possibilities for international cooperation and setting up mechanisms for information exchange, notably between neighbouring countries on the illegal migration routes.
The event, organised by RACVIAC and the Regional Initiative for Migration, Asylum and Refugees (MARRI), is designed especially for law enforcement and military officials tasked for dealing irregular migration on the operational level. Other participants are all public institutions involved in migration. The seminar attendees are from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia*, Serbia, Moldavia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Romania and MAG countries. Also participants are expected from ICMPD, UNICRI, UNMIK, IOM, INTERPOL, EUROPOL and FRONTEX.
