ZAGREB, Feb 21 (Hina) - A two-day seminar entitled "Cooperation against terrorism: Challenges in border security/control, illicit trafficking of weapons and cooperation modalities among countries" started at the Regional Arms Control
Verification and Implementation Assistance Centre (RACVIAC) in Zagreb on Wednesday.
ZAGREB, Feb 21 (Hina) - A two-day seminar entitled "Cooperation
against terrorism: Challenges in border security/control, illicit trafficking
of weapons and cooperation modalities among countries" started at the Regional
Arms Control Verification and Implementation Assistance Centre (RACVIAC) in
Zagreb on Wednesday. In his opening remarks, the RACVIAC Director,
Major General Stergios Papotis of Greece, stressed the need for cooperation in
Southeast Europe in combating terrorism.
As part of the seminar, a talk was given on dangers of global terrorism
supported by the use of the Internet and new technologies.
The gathering was being attended by military and civilian officials
from a dozen countries involved in the RACVIAC.
