Mugosa said Mesic would be made honorary citizen of Podgorica for his merits in the development of democratic society and the affirmation of good interstate relations and Podgorica's reputation in Croatia.
If the city assembly adopts Mugosa's motion at a session scheduled for later this month, Mesic will be the first honorary citizen of Podgorica.
Mugosa also said that Mesic had been recognised in Montenegro, Croatia and other Western Balkan and Southeast European countries as the most active promoter of peace, stability and new political relations as well as the most deserving for initiating Croatia-Montenegro dialogue.
