According to 44,986 statistical reports on the payment of salaries in December last year, the average net salary in December amounted to 4,698 kuna, 5.5% up from November both in nominal and real terms.
As for the amount of salaries, the private sector was lagging behind in relation to the state sector. The highest salary was paid in the financial mediation sector, while the fisheries sector was at the bottom of the list.
The average salary in the City of Zagreb is still higher than the national average, while other counties, led by Medjimurje County, are below the average.
