The biopsy was performed so as to take tissue samples for further histological examination and to establish the exact type of tumor.
The results of the examination are expected on Thursday when Racan is to undergo surgery to be carried out by a prominent plastic surgeon, Professor Milomir Ninkovic.
Today's surgery, also performed by Professor Ninkovic, was completed without any complications, and Racan came out of anaesthesia, the SDP reported.
Racan, accompanied by his wife Diana Plestina and Dr Mirando Mrsic, arrived in Munich on Sunday evening.
