Amendments provide that assistant ministers, ministry secretaries, deputy government secretaries and deputy state secretaries must offer their resignation after elections and the government must advertise applications for those posts.
The Voter Registers Bill was send to second reading.
Parliament adopted the Adult Education Act, which regulates a model of life-long learning. The law provides for the establishment of an Adult Education Council which would consist of representatives of trade unions, employers, education institutions and the relevant ministry. The council would propose what education projects should be financed by the government and with how much money.
Parliament ratified several international agreements, including one with the United States on preventing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction by sea.
