Grabar-Kitarovic, who was heading a Croatian delegation on a two-day official visit to Skopje, said that the meeting of the joint committee contributed to the promotion of bilateral relations, in terms of better coordination of activities between the countries' ministries and the process of integration with the EU.
Cooperation between the two countries is developing very well in many areas, the Croatian minister noted.
The two sides discussed the political situation in the region and cooperation within regional initiatives. Cooperation in Southeast Europe was also discussed, with the Southeast European Cooperation Process, currently chaired by Croatia, playing a crucial role, Grabar Kitarovic said.
The Skopje meeting was also attended by Pierre Mirel, Director of the European Commission Directorate-General for Enlargement, which added weight to the meeting, the ministry said in statement.
