The festival will be opened by the performance of "32, Vandenbranden Rue" by the Belgian Peeping Tom group in the Croatian National Theatre (HNK), the festival's organisers Dubravka Vrgoc and Ivica Buljan told a news conference in Zagreb this past week. This play is directed by Gabriela Carrizo and Franck Chartier.
On 18 and 19 September, "My Secret Garden", directed by Stanislas Nordey and Falk Richer, will be produced by Festival d'Avignon in the Zagreb Youth Theatre.
The festival's programme also includes "Out of Context for Pina" by Belgian director and choreographer Alain Platel with the Les Ballets C de la B group on 22 and 23 September and "Megalopolis" by the Argentinian director and choreographer Constanza Macras to be performed by the Schaubuehne am Lehniner Platz from Berlin on 28 and 29 September.
On 1 and 2 October the festival will be closed by "In Moscow, In Moscow" by director Frank Castorf. The play, adapted from Anton Chekhov"s "The Three Sisters" and "Peasants" will be performed by Volksbuehne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz from Berlin.
The Goethe Institute in Croatia helped the organisation of the German plays in Zagreb.
