A source from Jat Airways told Hina that following a subsequent request from the Croatian prosecution, on 21 January 2010, the Serbian company provided the prosecutors in Zagreb with a list of real estate in Croatia to which it laid claim.
In its capacity as the legal successor to the "'Jugoslovenski Aerotransport" company, Jat Airways possesses property in Croatia, the value of which is estimated at EUR 60 million, the Jat company told Hina today, explaining that no lawsuit was initiated.
According to the same source, Jat will continue trying to ensure its property restitution through legal means.
Belgrade electronic media on Wednesday reported about Jat trying to receive back its property in Croatia.
The media reported also that a lawsuit was launched to this effect.
Media reports read that Jat lays claim to a total of 8,560 square metres of business and housing premises, including 67 flats, a hotel and aircraft maintenance compounds.
The Zagreb-based Croatia Airlines, the Croatian national airline and flag carrier, said in the meantime that it had received no lawsuit from Jat Airways and therefore could not comment on media reports.
